3PL Inc. is committed to the mandates of its health and safety policy and participates in all government regulated obligations, certification and training programs.

HEALTH AND SAFETY OVERVIEW

The Occupational Health and Safety Act,  applies to almost every worker, supervisor, employer and workplace in Ontario including workplace owners, constructors and suppliers of equipment or materials to workplaces covered by the Act.

The main purpose of the Act is to protect workers from health and safety hazards on the job and set standards for employers to follow.  It sets out duties for all workplace parties and rights for workers.  It establishes procedures for dealing with workplace hazards and provides enforcement of the law where compliance has not been achieved.

The Ministry of Labour is the governing body that enforces the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Employment Standards Act and accompanying Regulations.

The Workplace Safety Insurance Board is responsible for providing workers’ compensation to Ontario workers and no-fault insurance for Ontario’s employers.  The WSIB is governed by the WSI Act and they enforce the Regulation 1101 First Aid.  3PL Inc. is in good standing with the Workers’ Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB)

The Workplace Safety & Prevention Services is focused on prevention of workplace injury and illness.
